Spacecraft cargo monitoring
MSR165 loggers aboard Cygnus
Orbital Sciences installed ten MSR165 data loggers with 3-axis acceleration sensors aboard Cygnus. The measurements were intended to record shocks and vibrations along the transport route to the International Space Station.
In the ARES research project, two MSR145 data loggers continuously measured acceleration in all three axes, pressure and temperature during flights aboard an F-5E Tiger aircraft.
Dstl, working with UK Ministry of Defence aircraft project teams and defence contractors, used MSR165 loggers in laboratory testing and flight trials to capture basic structural-usage information for several aircraft fleets.
